Research Rooms

We are still working on our Endowment for the Genealogical Society’s (Indiana) future rent payments. We have $70,000.13 as of this week but fluctuates with the Market but anyone wishing to help us reach our goal, please send a tax deductible donation to: Scott County Community Foundation in Scott County Genealogical Society’s name. The Scott County Genealogical Society will have home made pies for Thanksgiving. Orders will be taken until November 15, 2024, 4 p.m. and they will be available the week of Thanksgiving.

All pies will be $12.00 per 9 inch pie except for Pecan, which is $15.00 per pie.

Pies offered are the following:
Pumpkin
Sugar Cream
Peanut Butter
Apple
Cherry
Rhubarb
Raisin
Blackberry
Pecan

Pies will be available on Tuesday and Wednesday, week of Thanksgiving. Anyone purchasing a cream pie will need to pick up on Wednesday.

Call the Family History group, 812.752.3388 and if no answer, leave a message with what you want to purchase, the number of pies and your phone number along with your name.

  • Sundays: Noon – 4:00 p.m.

The Research Rooms are located at 1050 South Main Street, Scottsburg,
Indiana, at the rear of the Scott County Heritage Center and Museum.
We are exactly 1 mile south of the Scott County Courthouse.
The Research Rooms are on the first floor, have a separate entrance,
and are handicapped accessible
