Thanksgiving Pie Sale Day:
Once again, the Scott County Genealogical. Society is selling home baked pies for Thanksgiving at the Museum, 1050 S Main St, Scottsburg, IN. They will be ready for pickup on Wednesday, November 26th at Noon until 4 p.m. (Time can be later, if that helps those working outside of Scott County, IN.)
All orders are to be called in to 812.752.3388 and leave a message if no answer, as the answering machine is checked daily what flavors you are interested in. We are open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 10-4 if you prefer to stop in.
Apple, Cherry, Peach, Sugar Cream, Peanut Butter, Pumpkin, Chocolate, Coconut, and Custard that makes its own crust (lower calories). $15.00
Pecan, Derby, Cheesecakes: Oreo, Raspberry, Cherry or Plain. $20.00 each.
November 8th (Oak Hill and Leota Cemeteries). We will meet at the Scott County Heritage Center and Museum, 10 a.m., unless raining. Bring a chair and snacks will be provided with bottled water. Fee is $3.00 per person. The SCGSI Research Rooms will be CLOSED that Saturday.
October 19th, 2-4 p.m. the Scott County Genealogical Society, Inc. will meet and have a short meeting after refreshments. The program researched and prepared by our Secretary, Rhonda Heacock Stephens will be on “Wooster, Woostertown, Indiana”. The public is invited to attend and hear the presentation. We hope we have a great attendance as this will be the LAST program meeting for 2025.
Due to shortage of SCGSI Research Room Volunteers we are asking all those wishing to come to research, to call in advance to make sure we have someone there to assist you. Call 812.752.3388 or 812.889.2044 but you MUST leave a message with your name, phone number and when you would like to visit. Try to give us a week’s advance notice to find a person to help you.
