(This book is obituaries from the 1800s for people in Scott County, Indiana and the old obituaries may go on for 2 or 3 pages. They were much more detailed and even people that are not doing family histories have found this book interesting, as they are obits from people they have known, or heard of from the past. A lot of these obits ARE NOT in Scott County Newspapers. Some are as far away as the Carolinas, New York, and other areas of the country. We do not know why they weren’t in our local newspapers, but they are not.

There are several other books that are only $1.00 plus tax. If you have a question what they are, just email us for a list of these smaller books and cemetery books. 812.752.3388 or email researchrooms@SCGSI.org.
